No exits worth taking, no reason to stop. Windows down, decks up, the horizon doing all the talking.

Up in the Pass

The RV groaned up every switchback. Worth it: thin air, big views, and a chorus that echoed off the peaks.

Postcard — Arizona

Yee-Haw at the Rim

Two cowboy ducks, one impossibly big hole in the ground. We parked the rig, leaned on the rail, and watched the whole canyon catch fire at sunset.

Chasing the Gold

The aspens turned the whole valley to gold. We wore the flannel, played it cool, and pretended we weren’t freezing.

Red Rocks, Big Hats

Red buttes as far as the bill can see, and a desert road glowing like it was lit from inside. Very spiritual. Mostly we just liked the hats.

The Hoodoos

A whole canyon of orange spires, glowing at sunrise. We got up early. Us. Early. That’s how good it was.

Pink Sand, No Plan

Soft pink dunes that don’t look real. We kicked off the boots, ran the ridgelines, and got sand absolutely everywhere.

Postmarked: sand in the feathers for a week — worth every grain.
