The Pig Lit Up

One moonlit beach club, one giant neon pig named El Puerco, one duck who stepped up to the decks “just for a song.” Four hours later the whole beach was still going and I had a chorus stuck in my head.

Souvenirs: a sunburn through the feathers, a bar tab in three currencies, and a melody I could not shake.

One More

Somewhere around margarita number… let’s not. I raised a glass, the crowd grabbed the chorus, and by sunrise El Puerco was basically finished. Two mixes flew home in my carry-on.
